Me, Daddy, Auntie, some other people and Mommy at the Airport.

After all the packing, we woke up early and finally got to the airport. After all, it is a much shorter flight, than a drive or a long, long walk. Of course Mommy's luggage has wheels, so it is possible to walk. However, Uncle Sam likes Mommy, so he got her a plane ticket.

Mommy just got her weapons case, so now she can check in.
Mommy's co-workers came to see her off.
Daddy got in the picture.
Me, Mommy and Auntie.
Me, Mommy and Daddy.
Daddy likes the stairs pictures.
Mommy is through the secure door on her way to the plane.
Watching them load Mommy's bags. Got to make sure they go with her since we packed them.
There goes Mommy's plane.
Got a shark at the airport, I already have planes.
Checking out the F-15 outside the airport.
Me and my shark chilling out at home. Mission Complete!

As we post these pictures, Mommy is already in Atlanta. From there, she will go to another state and train for awhile. Which Daddy says is really funny, because Mommy has to train with the Army and not the Air Force. Which means she will have to get really dirty and do a lot of shooting. Either way, we will get to see Mommy briefly in September, before she takes a really, really long trip to visit some guy named Stan. Never met him, but Daddy says he knows him.

It is time for Mommy to go on her trip

We all got up this morning together and got ready. Three of us dressed like we always do, but Mommy had on her new uniform, the one that matches her new luggage. We had to get up early so we could take Mommy to the airport.
Surprise.... an action shot of Mommy putting on her boots.
Mommy woke me up and brought my milk with her!
Daddy followed us around with the camera.
Really, she is just putting on my shoes....
Mommy and I outside our house.
Look, I am looking this time.
One more for good measure.

Now if I can get Daddy to put down the camera, maybe Mommy will not miss her flight. On second thought, can we take a few pictures on the beach?

Mommy is going on a long trip

It is funny how some things happen. We moved to Florida early, so Daddy could take a long trip and Uncle Sam changed his mind. Then out of nowhere, early July, he called Mommy and said you're taking a long trip. Mommy has spent the last three weeks of July doing, what most people get 6 months to do. So needless to say, it has been rather crazy around here.

The last thing Mommy had to do was pack and I helped with that.
Me giving Mommy a hug break while she is packing all the stuff Uncle Sam gave her for the trip.
Daddy, no picture of the next thing, it is classified.
I was wondering how that worked.
Just push, it will go in one way or another!
After all that packing, we relaxed.
It was a lot of work, so we relaxed a lot longer.

Tomorrow, we will take Mommy to the Airport and about 250-270 days later we will pick her up! She has to be gone awhile since she packed all that stuff.  It will take at least that long to unpack her bags.

Welcome to Florida

They call Florida the Sunshine State, because the Hot and Humid State would not go well for tourism. This is what happens when you take the Camera out of the car. The humidity just gets it.

Daddy, me and Mommy.

Two seconds later.... no you do not need glasses. Well maybe, but not, because you can not see us.

Auntie Nomin and me.

Anyway, we are safely back in the hot humid state. It is another hot humid and rainy day, but at least the winters are warm and the beach is close.

What else would I do in Columbus?

Needless to say one of my favorite things to do in Columbus is play with the trains. I built me a mega track and kept Thomas and his buddies moving.
Playing trains takes real concentration.
Really a picture, I am concentrating.
Now I am ignoring.
Here is a cute shot of me, which I objected to being put in, but was over ruled. It is the kiddie bed in the guest room, so guess which kiddie slept there.

Lake Oliver and my first fishing trip

This weekend, we went to Columbus for a family gathering. While we were there I asked Grandpa Ed to take me fishing. Of course he did and I even caught a fish. We went to Lake Oliver, which is on the Chattahoochee River, it is sandwiched between two Dams. Grandpa Ed has a really cool boat and I even got to drive it!

Here we are on the boat, only two out of four heard cheese.
That is the dam in the distance. So much rain it is running over the top.
Me and Daddy on log watch.
Finally fishing.
Me and auntie got a prime spot off the back of the boat.
Me driving. Look Mommy, only one hand.
Just before my first catch.
I am now a pro-brim wrangler.
My second catch. It is actually really big, just looks small, because I am a big kid.

We had a great time on the water. Next time I am sure I will catch something this big!

A trip to the oceanairum with Daddy and Auntie

There are days when I like wake up and want to see something. So that is all I talk about all day and this time it seemed to work. I wanted to see a shark and I got too!
That is my first shark sighting in Florida.
I want to see the shark eat a fish!!!
Auntie and me looking at sea horses.
Me leading the way!
Another big shark!
A dolphin.
Me and auntie looking at the dolphins.
Sting rays playing chase.
Me and Daddy out on a pier at the Army MWR facility.

Wonder what I will wake up wanting to see tomorrow! Hmmmm, maybe the moon!
