Trick or Treat.....

It is October 31st and I am no longer Christopher Arnold Newton Young, I am now Iron Man!!! Even Daddy and Auntie Dressed up.... So we all had fun, except at the really scary house. I am not going back there.

Iron Man protecting the fair maiden.

Iron Man and his enemy Abdullah Jaffe!

The three of us waiting on some one to show up!

My first door, I am a big boy now! Funny thing is, when I went and got my flu thing, this lady was there telling me it would not hurt. Hmmm... small world.

Iron Man excepting hand outs....

Here is Iron man asking Abdullah Jaffe if he wants snickers or milky way.

This trick or treat thing is cool.....

Cheese....

Iron Man, Luke Sky Walker and a Beauty Queen.

Me and some other kids.

Ummm Daddy, no kidding this place is scary.

He should have held his Daddy's hand and this would not have happened.

I am not to sure I will come here next year.

Guess he has been out here since last Halloween. Now that is dedication.

Me and Daddy, I mean Iron Man and Abdullah Jaffe waiting on the crowd to show up.

We had a great time trick or treating. I got a lot of Candy, Daddy said I can have one piece a week, so I am good for the next 5 years.... Hope all of you had a great Halloween!

Working for a living....

Today is October 31st, which is Halloween. However, I find myself out working, because Daddy said, all play and no work is not good. Over the last several months we have been helping our neighbor clean up his yard. He moved into a nice house, with a yard that had been neglected for the last decade. So we go over and help do projects. Today, we are redoing the bricks at the front entrance to his house. It is fun, keeps us busy and it is nice to help people. That and Daddy said if I did not work, trick or treating was out. So I gladly volunteered my time. Mostly, because it was the right thing to do and a little for the candy.

Here we are cleaning the bricks, once we pull them up, we have to get all the dirt out the holes and off the sides. Makes them easier to put back and level.

Here I am lining up the bricks. It is not easy.

Always stopping me to take a picture.

This is the first half of todays project.

Here I am after we finished for the afternoon. It really looks a lot better. We pulled, cleaned and replaced ever single brick by hand. This is phase III of this project.

The front yard brick project is finished, now we have to move to the back yard. Like I said, a decade of neglect is not fixed over night. The good thing is it keeps us busy while Mommy is away.

Mommy Update

I know we told everyone that Mommy's Bear made it to her, but her is the Picture. Just wanted to share how happy Mommy was when she got her bear and got to Skype with us. You can even see me and Daddy in the bottom right. How is that for modern technology?

Mommy, her Bear, Daddy and Me. It is sort of a family portrait.

Anyway Mommy is doing good, closing in on her first month, which will qualify her for campaign credit according to Daddy. I did not know Mommy was running for office. Hope she wins.

Carving our big ole pumpkin....

A while ago we bought our pumpkin. You might have seen it on the blog. If not, go back and read it. After all I work really hard making these posts. It is not easy being three and this creative. Gosh.

Anyway, today was pumpkin carving time and we were invited over to Eva's house to carve pumpkins. Eva's Daddy and my Daddy are friends and it really was not that far of a trip since Eva lives next door. Daddy carried our 50 pound monster pumpkin over so we could carve it up!

Here is Eva checking out my pumpkin.

It is big enough for me to sit on it.

It almost broke the table.

Here I am with three pumpkins.

No one told me it was so hard to cut.

Daddy took over cutting and I supervised.

Keep going, your making a circle.

We got it, see how thick it is....

It is gross in there.

Nope, not sticking my head in there.

Not even my hand.

That is Jonathan and Karen in the back, they were going all out with a design.

I went old school, triangles and teeth. Me and my trusty pumpkin slaying knife.

I was helping Eva under the table.

Giving technical advice on pumpkin carving.

That orange dot on the rail is not a spot, that is my pumpkin.

They are sort of like Daddy and me.

Trying to be cute.

Even cuter.

My pumpkin, even carved it myself.

And Daddy's very big pumpkin!

It was fun carving the pumpkin... then we put candles in them. Yep, even mine has a candle. It is a small candle. Daddy kept all the seeds, says he is going to plant pumpkins for next year! Who knows, he might be able to grow one!

I sure hope all of you got your pumpkins carved and are ready for Halloween. If I knock on your door, I am the kid in the Iron Man costume, so give me extra candy!

It is my privilege to announce the promotion of Chimge Young to the Rank of Captain in the United States Air Force

At 18:30 (Local- Where she is at) Hours on 26 October 2013, Chimge was promoted to the Rank of Captain in the United States Air Force. A promotion she has truly earned and I am certain she will continue to distinguish herself in the Service of our Nation.

Here is Chimge and her Commander as the promotion order is read by TSgt Mathews.

Here is Chimge's Commander administering the Oath of Office and affirming her commitment to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

Chimge and a friend right after her promotion with her very new and freshly minted Captain bars.

Chimge being congratulated by the Mongolian Expeditionary Task Force Commander.

Chimge receiving gifts from Mongolia for her accomplishment.

Chimge all smiles with gifts. And if I do say so myself, looking very good as a Captain.

It is just two short years ago that she made 1LT at Hill Air Force Base, Utah and only four shorter years since she was Commissioned a 2LT in the USAF at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. So as you can see she is doing very good.

A special gift for a very special Mommy! Yes, that would be my Mommy!

As you know, before Mommy left she made me a bear so I could hear her voice every night. And of course I hug it and I kiss it and I love my bear and my Mommy. So I asked Daddy if I could send Mommy a bear with a message from me, so she could hug and kiss it. Of course Daddy said, yes, as long as he could include a message too. So we went to the bear store and got a bear and we each put a special message in it for Mommy so she could hear our voices every night and know she is loved! Not that she needs a bear for that, but still a bear to hug is almost as good as me and Daddy.
Daddy is taking the pictures, so he is not in any. Here is me and Mommy's bear.

Here we are loading in the stuffing and all the love...

Another shot of me working.

Here is the quality control hug, have to make sure the bear is super huggable.

Now I am loading up the heart with extra love and wishes.

Here I am giving the bear a kiss for Mommy!

Mr. Huggie bear (My bear from Mommy) and I are giving Mommy's bear a briefing on Mommy and all his duties when he arrives.

It is a bear counseling session.

Now we are singing a song so the bear remembers all the messages he has to deliver.

Gave Mr. Huggie bear some extra time while we got the box ready.

It is sad to see him go, because he is so huggable, but he knows he is going to a very special Mommy, my Mommy!

Got him in the box, making sure he is comfortable.

He is a little scared, but I told him it would be worth the trip and his mission was really important.

I gave him a cell phone so he could call once he got there and surf the web on the way. I am sure the post office has Wi-Fi.

Now of course we did not tell Mommy about her special present. So these pictures are a few weeks old. We wanted it to be a total surprise!!!!! Well. SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!! Mommy's bear arrived safely in country today! And Yes, Mommy was surprised and Mommy's bear did a really good job delivering the kisses and hugs. Now the only question is how do I get Daddy's phone back. If you keep calling and do not get an answer, now you know why!
