Mommy's first birthday!

Today is Mommy's first birthday. I know, you know, that Mommy is not one, but this is the first birthday she has had that I can remember. So, as far as I am concerned it is her first.

Since it was Mommy's birthday, I wanted to suprise her with a cake. Well, every Mommy deserves a cake on her birthday and my Mommy is no exception.

Me at the fridge trying to help Daddy get everything we need. I had to wake him up and get him moving.

We made a 4 layer chocolate cake.

The finished product! Yummy!

The cake with all the candles at Mommy's office.

Me and Mommy at her office, we totally surprised her. I went in first, then Daddy came in with the cake.

Even big people blow out the candles.

Mommy's friends and boss took her to lunch. Me and Daddy got invited too!

We went to "Olive Garden" Mommy's very most favorite place to eat. That is after Daddy's cooking.

Me enjoying my lunch.

Me and Daddy, so I could prove Daddy was there.

Mommy is helping me get all the food out of my pants.

Mommy is so much fun and I love her so very much!

So Mommy got her cake and she ate it too! Happy Birthday Mommy, we love you! I really hope you enjoyed your first birthday that I can remember. Can't wait till next year just to see what kind of cake we will make! And yes, the cake was yummy.

My first day of "Day Care"

Today was my first day at Day Care! What is "DAY CARE.... Well it is where parents put their kids when they can't find a baby sitter. It is like a big place with lots of kids just like you!

Now let me be honest at first, I was a bit scared, but turns out it was a lot of fun. I was not happy when Daddy left. But, by time it was over, I was not ready to go home!

Here I am with one of my caregivers, before I realized we were not just visiting! She was really nice, but I am bad with names.

I have new clothes on for my first day! I am just checking things out!

I am the new kid so people kept checking me out.

This place comes with a meal.

Daddy wanted proof I made it home safely.

I have to admit, their is no place like home!

I am chasing Daddy to tickle him for taking me to Day Care.

I am looking to make sure everything is where I left it.

According to my first day's report card the following is how I spent my day:

Christopher had a good day! He ate well. He loved riding in the buggy and watching the butterflies on the flowers! Our lesson was on circus today, so we made clown hats and we played with animal crackers and pudding! He was not so sure about sleeping on a cot and was a little nervious at first, but did finally fall asleep. He liked playing with ducks and water and was good at doing actions to the busy bumble bee song. Miss Hillary (Teacher)

I had a muffin, egg and apples for breakfast with water. Then I had cereal and milk for a snack. Grill cheese, celery and juice for lunch and crackers and milk for my last snack before daddy came and picked me up.

I have to give the whole experience a A-. If the circus class had lions and clowns, then it would have been an A+.

Tomorrow I will be back on my normal schedule! I will be back in Daddy Day Care!

Doing what I do best!

I had a few pictures of me being me, so I thought I would post them. Why, because I know my fan base is out there wondering what I am up too.
I was told not to run with scissors inside, but was never told not to run with a shovel in the yard. The amazing part is, I am running and I just started walking less than a month ago.
Who knew, but we have a large sand box under our deck.
It is good tasting sand and fun to play in.
Working on my first fighting position.
Like I said, it is good sand.
Here I am lounging on my bear in the basement.
Had to put the bear in his new place. We reorganized my basement. I figured we could make better use of the space!
Yes, this is the spot for me.
Sometimes bear just does not do what I tell him and we end up fighting.
Here is Lenny, now he listens.
Took this one of myself.

Well that is what I had on the camera. Just wanted to make sure you did not forget what I look like. I am growing and changing everyday so just want to keep you up to date in case we meet at the mall or some place.

Just another day in my life.

As you already know, we have a garden. So each day, at least Monday-Friday, we go out to the garden and pick vegetables. It is just something we do. It works out pretty good, because for all my effort, I get to eat and I have no doubt they are fresh. I usually start in the rocks. Why? I do not really have a reason, it just happens.
Here I am in the rocks with the corn that did not turn out too good behind me.

Here I am offering daddy a rock. He never puts them in his mouth. Wonder if there is something to that?

The carrots. I love digging them up.

Once I get them out I line them up so daddy does not lose count.

It was sunny, I hid under the sun flowers.

Daddy caught me trying to eat dirt again.

Look I am in a movie "Children of the Corn"!

Back working the potatoes. I really love potatoes and daddy keeps coming up with new ways to cook them.

One of my jobs is to wash the dirt off. When they are this fresh, you have to wash the dirt off. It is much easier to clean them outside, we learned that the hard way.

My favorite part of the day! Mommy is home! Daddy says I sound like a monkey I get so excited.

Now my day is complete. We are all home from work.

Just a picture of my smiling face, just in case you forgot what I looked like.

Like I said, just another day in my life. Just thought I would add a few more pictures. Yes, dinner was good. Daddy made some beef, baked the potatoes and made a nice vegetable dish with the corn, carrots and tomatoes. Gosh he is creative. He is like Bubba Gump, he fries potatoes, mashes potatoes, grills potatoes, cooks them with this and that. How ever he cooks them, they are fresh and good!

Me and Lenny the Lamb

I have a little Lamb named Lenny - soft little toy I got long time ago.  I have a picture with him when I was quite small (find it in last year's blog)
Lenny used to be almost as tall as me - but now I am much taller and I can walk around carrying him.

Since we have been walking around a lot, I am checking if his feet needs to be cleaned.

I am having breakfast with Lenny.

He doesn't eat but he likes to hang out with me in the kitchen.

I am Walking!

It only took me THIRTEEN months - but I am walking now!
Here I am walking - not a good picture of me since I am concentrating on my steps and not on looking at the camera and smiling.
I figured, I better stop and smile so I will have a decent picture of me.

A few days later, getting much better at this walking business - doing laps around the island.

Looking for a fork to taste the cake.

Oh well, no fork to be found.  So, I better go play with my truck.

Mommy and daddy keep calling me back and forth and I have been walking around the play room a lot!  They just seem to have hard time believing I can actually walk.

All the walking got me tired.  Time for little break.
