Black Water adn Yellow River State Parks

Once again Daddy figured since it was free we could go out and see some more of Florida. Well at least the State Parks that they let him in Free. It was an over cast day, with sprinkles here and there, so it was not a beach day any way. And it beat sitting in front of the TV watching silly cartoons, because in the car I watch silly movies between each stop. Daddy says it keeps me from saying, "Are we there yet"? Either way, both places were cool in their own unique way.

 

Once again you see the rare board walk which are native to Florida.

Here we are on the Black Water River, notice, the water is not black. Just some of the stuff on the bottom is black, but Black Water does sound better then the stuff on the bottom is black.

Here we are in another part of the park, apparently the tree behind me is special. Daddy insisted I get a picture with the tree.

Here is one of the wild creatures we found. We also saw a turtle, but we did not get a picture.

Wild flowers are still in bloom here.

These are Pitcher plants, they are native to the Yellow River area. The cool part is they are carnivorous. Yep, fall in one of these plants and it digest you. Of course unless you a insect you really do not need to worry.

Here is something really worth taking a picture of....yep, me! The flowers are nice too, but I am just so cute and my hat is on straight.

 

Anyway, we visited two different parks, that were not that far apart. They were both unique in there own special way. It was a good use of our Saturday. We only have three more parks in the western part of the pan handle and then it will be all  points east, heading toward Tallahassee.
