Trip to California - Day 4

Day four of our California trip was to Oakhurst, CA to visit with aunt Pip and uncle Richard. Christopher and Chimge's first meeting with them.

I am with great aunt Pip - she said she hasn't held a little kid like me for a while. But she was expert at holding my wobbly head and very gentle.  She is the first great aunt I got to meet - I think there are plenty more to meet.

I still got my tummy time while we were at aunt Pip's house.

All of us - good thing daddy takes big steps and walks fast.  The timer thing on the camera was pretty fast.  I wasn't ready for it.

After lunch - they had fruits, salad and pizza and I just got to smell it.

It was wonderful to visit with them and hear stories of family and hopefully we will be meeting more of the family soon - some for Christmas and some after and eventually we will be in Mongolia - meeting some more of the family.

We all want to say thanks to aunt Pip and uncle Richard for a great visit and look forward to the next one!

Trip to California - Day 3

Day 3 of our California trip took us to Sequoia National Park. It was a beautiful drive from Dinuba to Sequoia through the farm land and up into the mountians. We went from green farm lands, to a dry area and then to the cool Giant Forest! It was an amazing place to visit.... A must see.

It was a nice day, Mr. Christopher seemed to enjoy it. He did much better and liked getting out and walking around and seeing what he could see. Like I said the park is a must see....

Trip to California - Day 2

The second day of our trip was the longest leg. We drove 612 miles with Mr. Christopher and we had to ask ourselves "What were we thinking"? It is all good.... We survived! It was a bit to long of a leg for Mr. Christopher. He slept most of it, but had a few periods of extreme vocalization.

California.... see the construction! This is what we saw as soon as we crossed the border. California is Christopher's 4th State. . . .  First was of course Utah. Then Idaho on the 3rd of September, Nevada on the 16th of September and California on the 17th.... He is a well travelled 5 week old....

Day 2 put us on the road for about 10 hours.... a lot of diapers and bottles. But, we all survived it. We like to travel and they say, never underestimate early training. So the training has begun.

Trip to California - Day 1

As we were getting everything ready to pack and get on our road trip, we had either packed all his clothes or were washing them.  So, he ended up wearing an outfit a bit too big for him.  

And, when mommy decided to take his picture he wasn't too happy.  It was getting close to his naptime and he just wouldn't crack a smile.  So, this is all I got . . .  grumpy face and he wouldn't even look at the camera.

Finally, mommy let me sleep and of course, she was still snapping pictures - so I had to keep my eyes closed and not laugh...

Still the sun was bright and it was hard to keep my eyes open. Need those shades - I requested!!!

I am so ready for getting back in the car.

Since they didn't bother to feed me at the Salt Flats, they had to pull over in somewhere Nevada to feed me.  I wasn't going to fall asleep till after I got my food. And with Nevada, I have traveled to three states so far.

Dinner time - in Elko, NV - my first Holiday Inn Express - but daddy says it is not - since I have been to several when I was in mommy's tommy. 

Well, goodnite folks - tomorrow we will have much longer drive - my fourth state - California.  Hope they are ready to drive that far and still not forget to feed me, change me, and entertain me.

Happy ONE MONTH Birthday to little Christopher!

Our little guy turned one month old today.  So, we went to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Cook today and got some more supplies for Christopher - diapers and food.

He got his pack-n-play and it is all set up and mommy and daddy hopefully have figured it all out so they can set it up for him for our upcoming trip.

Happy Birthday Christopher.  He is finally enjoying his swing.  Now he squirms around too much - needs buckling up everywhere he goes.

Post # 200 - Random

OUr little guy is getting bigger and smiling more. Here are some pictures of what he has been up to lately.

We went out to Olive Garden - even though it was the middle of the week and quite late (after 1900) the list was long, we waited and used the time to take some pictures while Christopher slept.

Here is daddy and son - Christopher did good.  They wanted to take mommy out for dinner, then right when the bill shows up - they needed changing and disappeared to the men't room.  What is up with that? Good thing I got my wallet out of the diaper bag!!!

Auntie Dawn and the OR gang sent some cool presents for Christopher and here he is barely bigger than his new friend - Mr. Lamb.

Nappie time - he likes to sleep like this - I guess there is something comforting about sleeping on mommy's or daddy's chest and listening to their heartbeats while rendering them immobile - since we just got to sit there and watch him sleep.
