Kansas City, Missouri and a whole lot more

From Colorado we traveled to Kansas. Kansas is another really long and flat state. We stopped half way across and had lunch pushed onto Missouri. It was another long drive, but it worked out great. It gave us more time to see what was there.

The first day we visited Church Sites. The most interesting was Liberty Jail, where The Prophet Joseph Smith was imprisoned for practicing his faith and exercising his rights.

When you walk out of the Church visitor center you get to see the FLDS temple across the street.

Liberty Jail.

The reconstructed Liberty Jail. On the original site, much of the materials are original.

The holding cell. Notice the one small window. In later years it was used as an ice house. Not some place you would want to spend a winter.

The next day we visited an aquarium and Lego Land.

Me and Mommy.

Me and Kwazii, he is an Octonaut.

Me and Mommy and the fish.

More fish.

Look we are Octonauts.

When you get to Lego land you get to Learn how much you weigh in Legos.

Everything is made out of Legos, now I get it.

Me and Mommy on a ride.

You get to build cars and race them. There were a lot of crashes.

Lego Star Wars was way cool.

More Star Wars.

Look a train is passing out table.

Our food is delivered by train. Can you believe it!

We had another mini-family vacation in Kansas City, Missouri. It was very nice and we stayed in a great hotel. We could have stayed a few more days, but by now the call of home was pretty loud and we had a long way to go. So on we went.

Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado

From Utah, we drove North East to Wyoming. We made the long drive east and finally reached Cheyenne about dark. We stayed over and then went sight seeing. Well we actually visited Warren AFB. It is a historic post established during the settlement of the west. Then we headed east to Nebraska so Christopher can say he has been there. And on to Colorado to visit the Marler Family.

The old post cemetery.

An old Calvary soldier.

An unknown US Soldier.

Guess what, they had a modern play ground.

Post housing. It has been remodeled we hope.

Welcome to Colorado.

Good-bye Nebraska.

Playing with the geese.

The Marler Clan.

We stayed and visited with the Marlers for two days. Daniel and Daddy served in the Army together many years ago. I really enjoyed the visit, because they have kids my age. They like playing and having fun. It was very hard to get everyone to look at one time.

Playing in the back yard.

Our dinner guest. He was the subject of much speculation. He showed up and stayed around, even when we chased him, he just came back.

You may notice we have fewer and fewer pictures. As the trip continued, Daddy just forgot to take pictures. Still, we had a great time and there is more to follow.

A visit with Grandpa Lee and Grandma Karen

From the Valley, we travelled to Northern Utah. We visited with one of my many Grandmas and Grandpas in Utah. It was a good visit and great catching up. They had lots of toys, so I was not bored and from there I even got to play in the snow. Yes, snow in May.

Me playing soldier. Hope no one sees this picture.

Mommy, the Grandparents and me!

Me wanting to be playing not taking pictures. It is melting after all.

Catch Daddy!

Over looking Bear Lake.

Me and Daddy over looking Bear Lake. Yep, I have two parents.

The lake and a hill.

Any guesses where we were?

How about now?

Look we are all there.

We had a great visit with our friends and continue our trip from Utah into Wyoming and all the way across. It is a long drive on I-80.
