For this year's Thanksgiving, we were invited south to the desert. So, we loaded up the car and took a really, really, really, really long drive.
We ended up in a place called Twentynine Palms. Don't let the name fool you - not sure where the palm trees are - it sure was not tropical but it was a lot warmer than Utah.
Thanksgiving morning - checking out all the quail at the petting zoo or rather a feeding zoo.
Gotta feed them and the bunnies before I eat.
All done feeding. Now, time to check on the turkey. Sure hope it is bigger than those birds.
Turkey is in the oven - so the chefs are taking a union break.
Got to work up an appetite playing with Nicolas.
Still waiting for the turkey; so, hanging out with Kathy.
Admiring all the rocks. The backyard has been upgraded since my last visit here.
Still waiting on the turkey and goofing around.
Daddy is holding mommy and mommy is holding me.
Waiting on my turn to use the phone.
Turning trash to toys - different form of recycling.
Stack them up and . . .
knock them down.
Playing with David.
Turkey is still not ready - I will just eat this darn cracker.
Olivia and Nicolas on the red brick road.
Patty, Steve and Steven.
Hooray - finally! Turkey is done.
The turkey and the chefs. Everywhere we go, daddy is always cooking for everyone.
While daddy carves the turkey, I am taking a little walk before the sun goes down.
Dinner time with John and Sis.
Nicolas' mommy and daddy
Finally tasting the turkey
Little Steven's parents
I am related to another Fire Captain - Kelly.
Time for dessert - getting ready for the chocolate!
Enjoying the chocolatey mess.
Had to get picture with all the kids. We are all related.
Long journey back and we are glad to be home.
We enjoyed seeing everyone and eating all that food.
Good times and great people and yummy food.
Wonder where we will travel to next . . .
