This past weekend Chimge and I were able to have a night out. It was not your typical couples night out, but it was fun never the less. We attended the 350th CACOM's Army Birthday Celebration. The Army will turn 238 years old on 14 June 2013. I invited my wife to represent the United States Air Force at the Ball. So for the evening we were Major and 1st Lieutenant Young.
Here we are waiting to get inside. Dress Uniforms were not meant for the hot humid Florida weather.
Here we are with COL (R) Danny R. McKnight. He was the guest speaker for the event. If you do not know who he is, read or watch "Black Hawk Down" or his book "Streets of Mogadishu". He was the Commander of the 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment and led the rescue convoy to recover his soldiers.
Chimge and I at table #1, helps to sign up early.
Chimge and I with the 350th CACOM Commander, BG(P) McQueen.
Major Nonnemaker and I. He is the Commander of HHC 350th CACOM.
It was a fun night and we both got a chance to wear of fancy clothes. It was also the first time Chimge and I were able to get a nice formal picture since her commissioning on 27 Oct 2009. We were the second in line for the pictures and will post a nice one when we get it.
