In the fall, when Auntie was still here we started clearing an area for a Garden behind our house. After we cleared a spot, Daddy and Jonathan cut a few large tree branches and then not a lot happened. Of course we were on vacation in the peak planning season, but when we got home and got settle we started. So we cleared a little more land, added compost and then planted.
Daddy saved some seeds from our garden in Utah. And figured if we could grow there, why not here. Well, time will tell if he was right. So we planted green beans, peas, corn, peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, honey dew and watermelon. It is a late garden, but if something grows, we will have fun with it.
Me resting on the job site.
We dug up the ground, screened out the leaves, roots and rocks.
Then I played on my new mountain.
Our competition for the veggies. We found him in our back yard.
The Garden is in. We have five rows and can walk in between.
We are able to water it with the well water. Of course it has rained so much, seems every day with the humidity, so water will not be an issue. We will keep you posted.
Just so you know, we planted on a Friday and by Monday, we have beans and watermelon plants sprouting out. So who knows, either us or the bunny will eat well this summer.
