It is my Birthday, the party was just a practice run....

As the title says, "Today is my Birthday". But, the party is just a practice one. Since Mommy is not here to make sure it is done right, she had Daddy do a practice party. You know, so I can practice saying cheese and thank you! And Daddy can remember cards, cakes, and presents. After all Daddy is getting old, he was a lot younger when I was born. We would not want to invite a lot of people and The Real Party not go perfect. So tomorrow we are headed North to Columbus, where my Real Party will be. Yes, I will remind Daddy to bring the Camera.

Here is the 4th shot, a perfect "Cheese".

Took three takes to get this right.

Take the picture all ready, gosh!

Practice present opening!

This is my thank you pose.

Mommy sent me a card.... got it in the mail today! Talk about timing, but you know Mommy she gave the Post Man very specific instructions.

It is a construction card, but what is the big 3 for? Just kidding, silly.

No more pictures I want the cake!

I can hardly wait, yummy.

That is just a good cake, but the real one will be super yummy.

It is a big piece, but Daddy was just practicing on the serving.

All in all I had a great practice party on my Birthday. I missed Mommy, but just like you she can see the blog. Yes, I know, remind Daddy to pack the camera. So if you got your invitation, we look forward to seeing you! And thank you Grandma and Grandpa Young for the card and gift.... Well Daddy told me there is a gift coming! And thank you Mommy for the practice party and bringing me into this world.

Baking a lot of bread

We got up early, because Daddy and I had some baking to do. We baked a lot of bread, those of you who have seen Daddy make bread would understand 5 batches is a lot. Daddy has to go out and play village elder for some students in some swamp school. So he always takes some bread. Plus, I need my bread and a few other people have orders in. So Daddy and I bake bread a lot of bread.

I got every thing out and ready for us. The "Chef" will be along any minute.

Now was that, one table spoon of salt or a 1/2 of a cup. They are both white, so he will never know the difference.

I will just put a 1/2 cut of each and average it out.

Have to flatten the bread into the pans.

Look, the "Chef" is here. About time.

Work slow down.... I was doing better without you!

Some of the final product. Rounds for the students, rolls for a combination, loafs and of course cinnamon buns for me!

It is a lot work, but it is fun. It is after all guy time. Well all the time is guy time since Mommy went to that undisclosed location. I will put a stamp on a bun and send it to Mommy. Hmmm, that mail man might eat it. Well I will eat it and tell Mommy how good it was.

A day at the dog track

First, do you really think Daddy would take me to the Dog Track. Anyway, Auntie was there, so I did not go to the dog racing track. We went to the kid friendly track in Destin Florida. We started out with the games and then hit the track.

Me trying to talk Auntie into letting me play a game neither of us understood.

Me on the wheel of fortune.

Me watching daddy play some game from like the 70's. Glalaxa, can you say Liam! His childhood is not mine thank god.

Pit Row.

Blazing almost 10 mph on the track.

We are in first place, we already lapped those two.

Now they are trying to box us in.

I am so cool, I drive with one hand too!

Back to pit row.

Me on the water gun, before they told me I was too short.

Here I am checking out the other pilots, no time for pictures.

It was a fun day. We were out awhile and even had Sonic for lunch. We even at a burger for Mommy, since she is eating Army Food.

FYI, my D-day is coming up, so hope to see you all at the big party. Your all invited, no need to RSVP, we will have plenty for everyone. Wait, I was just told the part was at an undisclosed location and their is an Army guy cooking.

Proof of Life

If you have read the last post, then you know Mommy, aka Chimge is at an undisclosed location training for deployment to an undisclosed location. It would seem she is adapting well to Army life. Despite the fact that she is in a region where the average temperature is over 95 degrees daily with about 100% humidity. The bugs there makes Florida's bug seem attractive. Did I mention she is eating Army food. Now if Daddy was there, it would be no big deal, he is Army. Mommy is Air Force and the food is much nicer in the Air Force. And did I fail to mention, mommy has to wear body armor, a full uniform, helmet, elbow and knee pads all while carrying a rifle and a pistol. Dude, my mommy is so cool and tough.

Here is a picture of Mommy and you can tell the Army dressed her. Nothing matches. Multi-cam uniform with Army Combat Uniform equipment. The  big things behind her are what she has to drive to work. And that is not a joke! Of course the black thing in the picture is a gunner retention harness, so that means Mommy was up on the 50cal Machine Gun.

As we get more pictures of our Mongolian Warrior Princess aka, the cute Air Force Officer that Daddy likes we will post them. Like I said, my Mommy is so cool.

Me, Daddy, Auntie, some other people and Mommy at the Airport.

After all the packing, we woke up early and finally got to the airport. After all, it is a much shorter flight, than a drive or a long, long walk. Of course Mommy's luggage has wheels, so it is possible to walk. However, Uncle Sam likes Mommy, so he got her a plane ticket.

Mommy just got her weapons case, so now she can check in.
Mommy's co-workers came to see her off.
Daddy got in the picture.
Me, Mommy and Auntie.
Me, Mommy and Daddy.
Daddy likes the stairs pictures.
Mommy is through the secure door on her way to the plane.
Watching them load Mommy's bags. Got to make sure they go with her since we packed them.
There goes Mommy's plane.
Got a shark at the airport, I already have planes.
Checking out the F-15 outside the airport.
Me and my shark chilling out at home. Mission Complete!

As we post these pictures, Mommy is already in Atlanta. From there, she will go to another state and train for awhile. Which Daddy says is really funny, because Mommy has to train with the Army and not the Air Force. Which means she will have to get really dirty and do a lot of shooting. Either way, we will get to see Mommy briefly in September, before she takes a really, really long trip to visit some guy named Stan. Never met him, but Daddy says he knows him.

It is time for Mommy to go on her trip

We all got up this morning together and got ready. Three of us dressed like we always do, but Mommy had on her new uniform, the one that matches her new luggage. We had to get up early so we could take Mommy to the airport.
Surprise.... an action shot of Mommy putting on her boots.
Mommy woke me up and brought my milk with her!
Daddy followed us around with the camera.
Really, she is just putting on my shoes....
Mommy and I outside our house.
Look, I am looking this time.
One more for good measure.

Now if I can get Daddy to put down the camera, maybe Mommy will not miss her flight. On second thought, can we take a few pictures on the beach?

Mommy is going on a long trip

It is funny how some things happen. We moved to Florida early, so Daddy could take a long trip and Uncle Sam changed his mind. Then out of nowhere, early July, he called Mommy and said you're taking a long trip. Mommy has spent the last three weeks of July doing, what most people get 6 months to do. So needless to say, it has been rather crazy around here.

The last thing Mommy had to do was pack and I helped with that.
Me giving Mommy a hug break while she is packing all the stuff Uncle Sam gave her for the trip.
Daddy, no picture of the next thing, it is classified.
I was wondering how that worked.
Just push, it will go in one way or another!
After all that packing, we relaxed.
It was a lot of work, so we relaxed a lot longer.

Tomorrow, we will take Mommy to the Airport and about 250-270 days later we will pick her up! She has to be gone awhile since she packed all that stuff.  It will take at least that long to unpack her bags.
