Operation Hero- Christopher's first deployment

I got to participate in Operation Hero, which is a program put on by the USAF to let kids see what their Mommies and Daddies do when they deploy. It was a fun event and I learned a lot.

First rule of deployment, you stand in line, long lines... for a long time.

Then you get into more lines and they give you stuff.

Wait, no one mentioned shots!

I got lots of reading materials, will come in handy when I can read.

Wow... famous people come out to see us off...

Another line for the obstacle course...

They are checking to see if we are fit for deployment.

No, I did not get to fly it.

They taught us how to wait around and wonder what is next?

Then we got on a bus, a very crowded bus.

Then they made is get off really fast....

We got a class on fire safety.

Hands on training with weapons and...

practice with the RPG-7.

A little more hands on with a sniper rifle and

learning how not to hurt yourself getting out of a HMMWV.

I got to re-test on the last one.

Then I went to the Nurf qualification were I scored expert.

Then I was some what fitted for a ACH and body armor. Some one already got the extra, extra, extra, extra small.

They said do not worry I would grow into....

Then I came home to the chow hall and had a good dinner.

and the day ended with me safely in bed.

Thank you Mommy and Daddy for letting me deploy. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot.

Easter and my bike

Just a few pictures from the big Easter egg hunt and me learning to ride my bike.

Me and the Easter bunny, though he would be smaller.

Yummy snow cones.... they were free!

I fit between 3 and 5.... I am 4.

Waiting for the 10am so I can get some eggs.

A daddy directed shot.... I am smiling.

Me on my loner bike. I have all the safety gear.

We live on a circle, so no traffic worries.

No worries.... more to come! I will be deploying soon.... so stand by.

March was a good month and we even did a post!

Had some friends over to play, so we watched a movie.

Look I made some bread!

Hanging out in Destin!

It is on my wish list!

Easter egg hunt at school.

I got a dozen eggs!

Daddy showed up to make sure I let the other kids get a egg.

Back at Turkey Creek still too cold to swim.

Me making a funny face... did I make you laugh?

Tomorrow is 1 April 2015, so be careful. I am getting closer to being five and starting big kid school. Big Kahunas opens in two months and soon we will be going to the beach. I can not wait. Until next time... take care and come visit.

Just incase you were wondering....

Another racing day.

Yes, I can be silly....

Check out the score.... Daddy only beat me by one pin. and Yes, that is a strike.

Me just being a happy kid.

We still are not blogging like we used too... But, we are trying. Maybe we should hire and official blogger. Until next time.... take care and be safe.

The Army Marathon 1 March 2015

Once just was not enough, so Chimge figured she would run another marathon. Had to make sure she enjoyed the first one. However, the first 4 hours of this one was in the freezing rain in Texas. That said, she made it! So two down and who knows how many more to go!

Waiting to begin.... it is cold!

A long stretch of road.

Welcome to Belton, keep running.

I think I am almost finished.

At last!!!!!!!!!!!!

With her medal and a bounce in her step.

Team Red, White and Blue!

The whole group!

I guess now she can be referred too as a marathoner, since she has now ran more than one. It was a hard run, but she did it!

And yes, we have been bad about updating the blog. For this we apologize. We will try to do better, but that is what I said last time....
