Daddy was NOT kidding!

Daddy was not kidding when he said I had to earn my breakfast. I thought he was joking, because he did not ask for cash when he delivered it.
Here I am eating my pancake.... No he does not give me syrup. I already ate my blackberries. So how much could a pancake and blackberries cost?

Daddy shredded a bunch of paper, so to earn my breakfast, I had to take up the trash. Who knew he would shred a rain forrest and the bag would be bigger than me.

Ok, I got it this far. I am going to take a shower and change my clothes. Does anyone know any thing about child labor laws? I need a lawyer.

Dog and I talked and we had enough earning our breakfast for one day.
We are on strike and waiting for Daddy's boss to show up. That's right! My Mommy, she will put a stop to this.

Nope we are not moving!

When mommy came home, I got changed again and got to be a kid!

I love it when mommy is home.  I don't have to work for my dinner.

Look at a close up of me.... I took it myself.

I am trying to look serious.... like I am seriously having a good time with my mommy!!!

Life is not that bad with daddy, but lets be honest, mommy are just a lot nicer.

Christmas Visitors

Last night, our old friends who used to be our neighbors came back for a holiday visit.
It is always nice to see them and have someone who understands my language.

So, I donned my Elf hat to greet them.
Here is Chelsea and I.
Ruby and Chelsea with their parents: Melissa and Brad.  They brought us ice cream and chocolate fudge.  Daddy said we will have some on Saturday.  Is it here yet?
Here they are in front of our Christmas tree.
Our family.
Chelsea and Ruby opening their Christmas presents.  Chelsea got Dora, and Ruby got Barney.
We got to play some too. I wasn't sure how to play with girls.  They don't throw stuff, they don't wrestle.  No wonder daddy and I get along well.  We know how to play rough.
Chelsea trying on the singing and dancing hat.
Now, it is Melissa's turn.

They are heading to California for the holidays.  So, I guess, I won't see Ruby and Chelsea till next year.
Wonder who else is coming to visit me.  Are you coming over? Better text me - so I can get ready and get my elf hat on.

Am I 16?

I woke up on Wednesday - I knew it was my birthday.  So, am I 16 already?
16 month that is.
Hanging out with daddy and having my breakfast.
Hmm - now what shall I do today?
Played with my bear.
Had some fish crackers.
Played some more.
Danced to some tunes.
Had spaghetti, veggies, and a crescent roll for lunch.
Read my DOG book.

My birthday was fun - just like every other day.

Christmas Tree

Finally, got me a Christmas Tree.  Had to relocate my seat in the car to get the tree home.  Well, that was on second day of December.
Then, the next morning, mommy and daddy put the tree up piece by piece.
Here is how tall our tree is.
It got lights. Time to add more sparkle with ornaments.
I am helping mommy to put the ornaments up.
All the ornaments are up.
Even the ones I got for Christmas last year.
Daddy is putting the final touch, the tree topper.

Mommy and I with the tree.  Mommy still needs to wrap the presents.
The stockings are hung.  Now we need Santa to show up and stuff them.

Thanksgiving 2011

For this year's Thanksgiving, we were invited south to the desert.  So, we loaded up the car and took a really, really, really, really long drive.

We ended up in a place called Twentynine Palms. Don't let the name fool you - not sure where the palm trees are - it sure was not tropical but it was a lot warmer than Utah.
Thanksgiving morning - checking out all the quail at the petting zoo or rather a feeding zoo.

Gotta feed them and the bunnies before I eat.

All done feeding. Now, time to check on the turkey.  Sure hope it is bigger than those birds.

Turkey is in the oven - so the chefs are taking a union break.

Got to work up an appetite playing with Nicolas.

Still waiting for the turkey; so, hanging out with Kathy.

Admiring all the rocks. The backyard has been upgraded since my last visit here.

Still waiting on the turkey and goofing around.
Daddy is holding mommy and mommy is holding me.

Waiting on my turn to use the phone.

Turning trash to toys - different form of recycling.
Stack them up and . . .

knock them down.

Playing with David.

Turkey is still not ready - I will just eat this darn cracker.

Olivia and Nicolas on the red brick road.

Patty, Steve and Steven.

Hooray - finally!  Turkey is done.

The turkey and the chefs.  Everywhere we go, daddy is always cooking for everyone.

While daddy carves the turkey, I am taking a little walk before the sun goes down.

Dinner time with John and Sis.

Nicolas' mommy and daddy

Finally tasting the turkey

Little Steven's parents

I am related to another Fire Captain - Kelly.

Time for dessert - getting ready for the chocolate!

Enjoying the chocolatey mess.

Had to get picture with all the kids. We are all related.

Long journey back and we are glad to be home.
We enjoyed seeing everyone and eating all that food.
Good times and great people and yummy food.

Wonder where we will travel to next . . .
