A trip to the Gulf Shores Zoo

Since we have been to about every free park in the pan handle, Daddy thought he should stop being so cheap and take me some where I might have more fun. So today we visited the Gulf Shore Zoo out on Highway 98. I am sure glad he did, we all had a great time. It is the 2nd zoo I have visited and it was a lot of fun. Mostly, because I am a big boy and there was no stroller or carrying involved. It was a bit of a drive, but well worth it.

Here is the entrance, it is the last picture Daddy took.

Here I am trying to feed a Llama. He said I was not tall enough and refused to bend over.

The goat was far more willing to work with me.

Just a mandatory pose in front of the animal pens.

The big walk in bird cage was awesome.... the birds loved me!

Here is my new friend, he is a parakeet.

The birds really like playing with us.

See now I have two parakeets.

Here are two more eating a bird treat Daddy set up.

Here is me and my other new friend looking at a peacock.

Waiting on the train.

That is Daddy next to me, more homeless looking than last time.

I got off the train so I could meet the run away kangaroo. He liked me a lot.

Can I take it home? Please.

The train is really long and goes through Africa.

The Emu was the official ambassador and followed us as long as he could.

If you look in the center of the screen it is a chimpanzee.

Mandatory childhood picture so Daddy can show my first girlfriend. I just have to put up with him, because he is the only one with a driver's license.

The giraffes were really, really tall.

and really, really hungry.

Daddy took a lot more pictures, but he can not post them all. If you want to see all 300, you have to visit and make a special appointment. Otherwise, just enjoy the blog. It is here for all of you to enjoy.
Until next time, which should be about five minutes if I know Daddy.

A visit to the Pumpkin Patch

I finally got Daddy to take me to the Pumpkin patch. Halloween is only 10 days away and we did not plant any this year. That was really hard on Daddy, he misses his garden. We had a lot of fun pulling weeds and trimming everything and of course eating the veggies.

That said, we went to the Great Pumpkin Patch, it is off Hwy 20 in Niceville. We each picked out a pumpkin. Our choices say a lot about us. It took awhile, because I had to find one that was just perfect, Daddy, his choice was a lot easier for him.

They had a lot of seat and it seemed Daddy needs to sit down a lot.

Here are the three of us.... That is Auntie in the blue, Mommy is in Afghanistan. Daddy gets annoyed, because, everyone assumes since I look my like Auntie that we adopted Daddy.

I had to take a lot of pictures for Mommy.

I hope this one does not make it on facebook.

Yes, another picture.

Had to break off from Daddy so I could find me a pumpkin.

He caught up to me.... Say Cheese! Why? It is a pumpkin.

Look we have never done this picture before. Can you spell staged?

Now he wants an action shot. Ummm, we are in a pumpkin patch.

Yep, the grass flies.

Pricing out the pumpkins. It was all for donations, but need to make sure I was within budget.

If the straw lands on it, you can have it.

I got mine!

Daddy and his pumpkin and me.

One more shot, just incase the first one was not cute enough.

We got ice cream too, we being my pumpkin and me.

That was a lot work, but it was fun. Next year I will have Mommy with me so I know we will get the best pumpkin ever!!!! Love you Mommy! Did you get your pumpkin yet?

King of the hill

I was next door yesterday visiting with Eva. Awhile back, Jonathan and Daddy had done some work and made a dirt mountain. So Eva and I were playing "King of the Hill". I won, because I used my superior knowledge of conquest. I was born with it.

Here we are in the beginning.

Here is Eva trying to take me off at the ankles with a stick.

I am giving her a chance for a sneak attack.

I think she realizes I won.

Yep, I won.

Eva and I are quickly becoming best buddies.

Where in the world is Chimge?

Where in the world did Chimge go? I am not too sure, maybe you will be able to figure it out? Where ever she is, she is well armed and in good spirits and working about 12-14 hour days. The food is pretty good, but they do not have steak, shrimp and lobster on Friday. Of course she is making new friends and making the best of it.

The last time I saw her, she was on a bus. So I thought how far could she get? Especially with a bus driver that was asking me for direction. Ask Christopher how it works out when you ask me for directions.

This picture was taken in Frankfurt Germany from an airplane. Which I have heard was a nice plane.

Here you can see Chimge and her friend are all smiles aboard what looks to be a large space craft?

Then I get pictures like this. It reminds me of Mongolia. Now some of you might know what these are if you travelled to Mongolia.

Here is a model of Sukhbaatar Square, it is in a museum of sorts. If you have been to Ulaanbaatar you would know Sukhbaatar square.

A better view of the museum.

Now if your from Mongolia or have been there, you know this is a Gur.

And here is a picture of Chimge with a Mongolian women, taken inside of a Gur.

Here is a picture of down town. Cars look like Mongolia and so does the building.

Never saw these signs there, but with tourism, lots of people visiting Mongolia these days.

This could be out in front of BYU-Hawaii, well add a few palm trees and some flowers. Either way it would seem it is a place with a very international flare.

This is the most recent picture taken on the 17th of October. Would seem she is enjoying an art festival. Hope she did not buy that piece, would be hard to find a place for it.

Where ever her travels take her, I know she is doing good. The next big milestone for her comes 26 Oct 2013. That is the day she will be pinned a Captain/ 0-3 in the United States Air Force. I am certain I will get some picture of the promotion ceremony to share.

Until then, we will just have to wonder "Where in the world is Chimge"?
