Southern California Here I Come!!!

Well, Sunday we had another long drive.  From Nevada to Torrance, CA.  This time through rain, rain and more rain.  At times we couldn't even see much far out like what is on the side of the road. Hmm, wonder where the Sun is hiding in Sunny California?

Well, we are going to stay put for the next few days here - we got us a fancy hotel at Staybridge Suites - has a kitchen and they got their own bedroom and I got my own pack 'n play set up by my own TV.  After we all got set up and unpacked (I assure you it was long ways of moving our stuff from the car to the room - in the rain and third floor walk-up.)

Then, we went out for dinner with some family.
We are at Redondo beach Chessecake Factory.  Everyone in the restaurant liked me - one lady wanted to hold me while mommy ate and she did: she talked to me and smiled at me.  She said I was very handsome too.
Dad, me, mom, Brooke, Greg, Matt, Sam, and Colleen. Colleen is dad's cousin.
I am showing off my new clothes here. It was a surprise gift to me from Colleen and family. Little too warm for CA but as soon as I get back to UT, I will be wearing it in style.
After the first night in CA, I woke up to some more rain. So, I am hanging out with mommy in her bed.
Dady liked my outfit.  So, he kept taking my picture.  Mommy bought it for me - I guess she bought it for daddy too.  It reads, "My Dad is: Awesome, Fun, The Best" - and it is TRUE.  I got the coolest daddy in the world and I know it.

Blog #250 & Mr. Christopher added Another State to his LIST

Well, today has been a long day so far.  Mommy and daddy got me up before dawn and I was in the car seat before I knew it.  Even with the snow, rain and wind, we still drove for what seemed like forever.

Will get back to the trip later, but first let me post some of my earlier adventures they neglected to post.
Here I am learning to be a chef like daddy. Gotta get a handle on how to hold and stir with this big spoon.
Nowadays, they just let me hang out in the swing and I get to watch them.  This is last night: they were packing my stuff and I was making sure they got everything I need for the next couple of weeks.

Then, as I said we drove and drove today.
After all morning drive, we stopped at Dairy Queen/Chevron for some snack, food and changing time for me and gas for the car. I am trying on the Dairy Queen high chair.  Not sure, if this chair was for kids.  There was so much space - is my bottom supposed to get that big?
Mommy & daddy got ice cream cones - I am attempting to guide mommy's hand so I can taste a bit.

We, then, got back in the car and drove again.  Daddy pointed out the Welcome to Arizona and then Welcome to Nevada signs - didn't let me get out and take a picture with the signs though.  Oh well. Another time.  So, I added Arizona to the list of states I have been to.
We stopped in Nevada for the evening - another Holiday Inn Express.  Mommy & daddy relaxed, exercised some and what not - so they left me to do what I wished most of the time.  Here I am snuggled up to my blankie with my toys around me, having my lunch and watching some TV - some Christmassy movie on Hallmark channel. Still trying to figure out this Santa business.

Well, time to hang out with them for a while and then bath and bedtime.  More posts to come tomorrow.

Happy 4 Month-Birthday Christopher!

Our little guy is officially FOUR months old today!!! We already posted his Dr. visit - so this one will be just about him.
I am a happy kid hanging out on mommy & daddy's bed.  The best part is I usually end up getting the whole bed to myself. :-)  It is much roomier than my crib since now I can roll in my bed and get from one end to the other easily.
After my birthday play with daddy, I was pooped. Some nap was in order.
I slept while daddy held me - as soon as he tried to put me in my crib I was up. I miss my younger days when mommy just held me and let me sleep in her arms.
See, I am a big kid now - can sit up and play with all these toys.  I am playing here on their bed, while mommy & daddy had their dinner.

Christopher's 4 month-Dr visit and More

Well, our little guy is perfectly healthy and growing and getting more personality and attitude to go with it.

He had his four-month-Dr visit on Friday.  He was good - barely cried at the shots.  He even laughed out loud when the Dr. checked his hips.  Evidently most babies don't like it and parents think the Dr is killing their kids when he presses on their legs to check their hips.  But, our little one thought it was fun.  :-)  What can we say, we are raising some tough kid. Now, daddy and son are playing some crazy game - both are loud and laughing and little Christopher is dangling in air.

He currently weighs 13.4 lbs (6.08 kg) measures at 24.25 (61.59 cm) inches in height.  He is around 20% in the weight charts and 30% in height, so he is doing great.

Today, we had a dry run for our trip to California and our bread making for the Christmas dinner.
Here is Chimge mixing the dough. Doesn't look very fancy - but in the end:
this is how it looked sitting there rising.  Can't wait to have some.
We even pre-measured the dry ingredients into ziploc bags so we can take them on our trip.

So, Christopher is relaxing here after his hard work of helping mommy & daddy to count to ten (ten 1/2 cups of flour) and supervising the whole ordeal.
Christopher and Chimge getting ready to blog.

Well, folks later - we are going to enjoy our bread and the rest of our evening.

Christmas Party with the Army

Saturday morning came.  Daddy left early for his Class A inspection while mommy and I enjoyed the nice hotel room and leisurely went for breakfast.
Mommy and I watching Christmas movies . . . while getting ready for the Christmas Party.
It is an Army tradition for all the officers to serve the feast at the holiday parties. . .    So, daddy ended up behind the food line wearing white plastic apron.
Mommy and I standing in line to get our food - well, mommy's - I got mine in the bag.

After serving the meal, daddy ate his meal. Then, we walked around met some people, listened to some speeches while waiting for Santa to come.
Santa - my first visit with Santa and our family picture with him.  Since I am a little kid, I got to get in front of the line to visit with him.
I had my private chat with him, but I wasn't prepared to ask for anything - since mommy and daddy didn't explain to me about the guy in a red suit and white beard.
After the Christmas Party, we visit some friends and of course, I had presents from Grandma Jensen. I sure am glad I have many grandmas and grandpas in Utah and they all think I am the cutest.
Mommy and I with auntie Nicole's Christmas Tree.  I guess, I will have my own tree next year.  This year I will let it slide since we are not going to be home for Christmas.

Well, Army Christmas Party was loud and casual with a lot of food and a lot of families with kids.  We will be going to the one for the Air Force on Monday - will see how that one will be and post some pictures.

Pre-Christmas Party Fun

This morning at O dark 30 - prior to the Christmas Party - we enjoyed nice Battallion Formation and Class A inspection - everybody's favorite Christmas Holiday activity.
3/4 of the members of the Keith's CA team and the Company Commander and First Sergeant - after the inspection (notice one soldier in the new Army Service Uniform, ASU)

Mr. Christopher - pampered

We decided to have a little getaway weekend for the occassion of Keith having a drill and a unit Christmas Party.  So, we got a hotel room in Pleasant Grove for one night and drove out that way once Chimge got home.  Of course, the Holiday Inn Express is where we stayed - it happened to be a brand new one too - opened just seven days ago and we were one of a handful families staying there.
Mr. Christopher relaxing on a nice king bed (well, he will be booted to the make shift bed on the floor for the night - but for the time being enjoying mommy & daddy's bed) - after serving of chocolate dipp and a plum. :-)
Dinner at PF Chang's.
After full serving - he is out. Needed a nap to digest all the food.
Last time he sat in front of a PF Chang horse, he was much smaller!
Nice evening and yummy dinner - now back to the hotel.
Daddy and Christopher relaxing and watching some TV.
Spa time for little Christopher. We sure didn't forget his little tub.
"Oh, just loving the spa - too bad I can't use the whirlpool!"
"My personal massage therapist getting the knots off my back and shoulder."
"Ahhhh.......  I am ready for bed now! Goodnite folks."
