Duck tape, more boxes and Daddy has way too much free time!

I am all smiles, because I just got the additions to my new house. I have company coming over and I am just glad all the work is finished. The house is about 50% larger. I have three full rooms now. I did have to work with my neighbors (my stuffed animals) in order to take up more real estate. I gave them room on my roof!

I am getting ready to begin my walk through.

I am waiting on Daddy, but I am being patient.

This is my doggie entrance or a the crawling entrance.

Here I am leaving the old part and checking out my new space. It is huge!

The doggie door is an entrance and exit. That means you can come in or out of it.

The door is so cool. It actually closes.

Here I am coming out with monkey! It is a doggie door, but monkeys can use it too.

This is my bay window. It lets in lots of light and I can watch the wall.

I am conducting my final inspection. Even if Daddy is my contractor, I still have to verify quality and that he followed my specifications.

More checks.... it seems some of the seams need more work.

I am going to have to check my blue prints. Something does not look right.

Dad, we need to talk!

All in all, it is so hard to find a good contractor. I found several areas that need more duck tape. I have also requested another window and an inside window so I can see from the old side to the new side. I want a functional house. If I am paying for my house, I want it my way.

Of course I can not complain, Daddy did build me a house. It is amazing what a Daddy can do with old boxes and some duck tape. Thanks Dad! I am glad to have him around, even if it seems he has a lot of time on his hands.

Ho Ho Ho, so what if I am late, I like the hat!

I am aware that Christmas is over. Yes, I noticed the tree was gone, the presents were all put away and there are no more commercials with Santa, but I like my elf hat. It is just cool to wear and I like the look on Daddy's face when I take it off and stand there pointing until he puts it back on. I can do that all day! Like I always say, "Hey, I am just a kid".

Daddy and his camera. Caught me coming up the steps and said
"You look funny, so I have to take a picture."

A top view.

Would you put the camera down, the flash is blinding.

I am posing, snap the picture.

Almost there....

One final look at my dirty elfen face. Daddy did not tell me I had a dirty face.

Next year, I will be big enough for the whole Santa suit. I bet you would like to see a picture of that!

A lunch date with Mommy

Mommy took a day off work so we could go to lunch. So I took Mommy to her favorite restaurant. The Cheese Cake Factory.

Here we are waiting to order. Yes, we brought Daddy.  He drove and was there to take pictures.

I am inspecting the silverware. It is not even silver.

Mommy is trusting.... I got a large glass of water.

And I can use a straw.

Hmmmm a little too much lemon for my taste, but how can I explain that in baby talk?

I needed to stretch the legs a little.

Here give that to me Mommy, I will get it. (No pictures of the meal, Daddy was to busy enjoying his meal as well - did I not tell you he likes Cheesecake Factory too?).

Well with all the gift cards, I should be able to cover all this.

Wait a second, they were supposed to take that off. Waitress!

Anyway, it was a good meal. Daddy got us there and back and took a few good pictures. Guess we will invite him next time.

Just some pictures of the snow

Fresh powder is so nice to wake up too. It just makes you so very happy you have a roof over your head.

Our back yard.

Snow covered trees.

The front yard.

A view across the street. Seems the north side of the street gets more snow.

It is supposed to snow tonight, but my money is on the weather man being wrong. It was too warm today, so I don't think we will get much over night.

Another snow day!

Yes it is winter in Utah.... It came late, but it has arrived and I have to take advantage of it. I can not just stay inside and let it go by. I have to enjoy it!

Yep it is snowing.

Got to get my shoes and jacket on.

Man these stairs are not getting any easier.

Wait, how do I put this on again?

Daddy helped me with the jacket and shoes. It is really white and cold out there! Ok, I have enjoyed it.

What do you mean? I went out. There is the proof, the missing snow is my foot print. I have had enough winter. When does summer get here?

I am just a kid, what did you expect? My attention span isn't the longest!

The long journey!

When I got up this morning.... there were little patches of snow around the north facing yards. I went down for a nap at 2pm and woke up to this at 4:30pm. It is fun to watch the snow fall and collect.  However, it makes the journey an adventure.

One of my many chores, and there are a lot of them, is to get the mail. I have to journey out to get the mail. This is the beginning of my journey.

Since it was snowing Mommy was nice enough to help me. Actually she carried me, because it is really slippery. It is a long way out to that mail box. The photo journalist had to use the zoom.

A shot out across the frozen street and winter wonderland.

The return trip, we had to cross a frozen river.

Mommy (my trusted guide) got tired, so I had to walk the last mile to safety.

I am just trying to keep the driving snow out of my eyes.

Which pair of prints is mine and which is Mommy's?  Hard to tell.... how funny is that.  Mine are on the right or are they?

Reaching the safety of home.

Here I am being greeted by a reporter after successfully completing that long trip to the mail box.

Here I am with my Mommy (my faithful guide) documenting our journey for the world to see.

Here is Daddy's ladder. You ask what it has to do with my journey, nothing. I just think it is funny. Why it is there? So he can direct tv! What do I mean? Well, when it snows really hard, he gets to climb up on the roof and clean the dish, so I can watch TV! One good reason to have cable where it snows.

Our back yard, a white winter wonderland.

As you can see we are getting some snow in the valleys. It is nice and since our house faces south as soon as the sun comes out our snow will melt! If it is really deep and cold it might last a day. So my next journey will not be as tough.

It is not all fun and games, Part 2!

Yes, I am a very happy little guy.  I am surrounded by my friends and parents who love me. But, still it is not all fun and games. It is hard being three years old (17 months).

Me relaxing and cooling off after playing with Dog.

Yes, that is my hair sticking up! Daddy really should learn to comb hair.

Playing and following Elmo and friends on TV.

Ok.... who do I look like again?

See now I have to work the kinks out of this guy's back!

It is a big back. Takes forever to do just one side.

It is easier and quicker to just walk.

I am earning my keep....

Worked up a sweat. Had to change and now I am resting.

So just making sure you know it is not all fun and games. Of course I can not complain, all this hard work has led to early home ownership and lots of great memories.
