A nice walk at Turkey Creek

Daddy and I had to go out and do a few things today and since we were out, we figured why not go for a walk. So we went to Turkey Creek, which is one of our favorite places to visit. Due to all the rain however, the swamp the creek runs through is over flowing. Not an issue for us, because we will stay on the side walk.
The bridge to the creek.

The creek. It is more brown today, all the swamp stuff is in the water.

Here is a crane, that area is usually dry where he is fishing.

Getting a brisk walk in to keep fit.

A look back across the creek.

Hey look a crack in the walkway.

A tree, but if you look to the right you can see the weeds moving out. Current is really strong right now.

Signs, every where there are signs?

This is the last swimming hole, it is usually crystal clear.

This is the quiet area, the little black squares are memorial markers.

See the water is high, the pier is under water.

There is that crane again, he does not mind the high water.

Looking down the creek.

This tree grew through a crack in the walk way.

Another look down the creek.

At the entrance they have a very nice meeting area for picnics.

It was a nice walk for me. Especially the parts on Daddy's shoulders. Did you know he gets kind of cranky when I put my chin on the top of his head. Still old cranky Daddy was nice enough to take me for a walk and then carry me when I got hot and tired.
